*Insert cool engine noise here*

Motorsports. Four wheels and an engine.

The sweet smell of gasoline and burnt rubber runs rampant through your nose as the whining of engines and shifting of gearboxes sing a song to your ears.

All of this is available on the Texas A&M campus with the Texas A&M Sports Car Club. The Club is a non-profit, Texas A&M-sponsored organization that is dedicated to automobile and motor sports enthusiasts. They offer a plethora of activities and many other events that are centered around cars and other automobiles.

From autocrosses and drag racing to rally crossing and car shows, the club also offers weekly events including group dinners, socials, group drives, and other meetings.

The Sports Car Club is also a great way to get assistance with any car project you might have in mind. With years of experience, members are happy to share car knowledge with anyone who is willing to learn the ins and outs of automobiles.

The Sports Car Club was founded in 1968 and is one of very few university-sponsored sports car clubs in the nation, and it is the largest collegiate car club in the world.

Don’t own a sports car? Don’t fret.  Having a sports car is not mandatory to participate in events. You do not even need to own an automobile at all. All that is necessary is an interest in cars, some curiosity, and a little sense of adventure.
